On Saturday, August 6th, fans of great weed flocked to Goat Global’s new South Los Angeles location for a highly anticipated Grand Opening event. The day celebrated being a new dispensary which offers “one of the best selections in the state,” according to the founders.

The South LA location is just the first in a string of openings planned this year and next.

The Goat Global dispensary chain first began in Humboldt County, where some of the best weed in the world is cultivated. Now these admitted connoisseurs are opening a chain of dispensaries, consumption lounges, private membership clubs and a hot springs resort and spa in weed hotspots like LA, West Hollywood and Desert Hot Springs.

GOAT Global was formed in 2016 by three friends with close ties to the elite growers of California cannabis. They opened a dispensary in Humboldt in 2018.

“Our team has carefully curated who and what brands in the industry we want to work with and carry in our shops. If there isn’t something that sets them apart from everyone else, we don’t want it. GOATS Only. Our market is for the real smokers of cannabis,” one of the Goat Global founders said.

The new LA dispensary proudly promotes brands such as Doja Exclusive, Wizard Trees, Ten Co. Zushi, Blueprint, Turtle Pie Co, Greendawg, John Doe Supply Co., Don Merfos and Backpack Boyz to name a few. With strong relationships to top brands, the dispensary plans to offer special drops of exclusive or limited strains and products.

“We are fans in a sense of the cultivators and curators. We appreciate them. We have farms, we’ve grown weed, we know what it takes. We know the dedication, we know the risks. So when someone’s dialed it in and they’ve got it right, you want to share it with the true fans of cannabis” a Goat Global founder told us.

Goat Global says they want to create a place for the community by attaching coffeeshops to most of their dispensarys including the South Los Angeles dispensary. They serve gourmet coffee and pastries, and while the cafe may not be licensed for smoking, they have a consumption lounge restaurant under construction in West Hollywood, a Desert Hot Springs resort and spa and a private club above their West LA dispensary set to open later this year and early next year.

“For now the [South and West LA] cafe will just be providing a kick back, chill cafe experience for our clientele and the surrounding communities,” one of the founder said.

The brand is just starting to make waves in Los Angeles, and plans to open another location in Humboldt.

“Goat Global is the platform for all of the ‘Greatest Of All Time’ brands and companies who continue to innovate and produce fire for the community of true smokers and connoisseurs. We want the spotlight on those brands,” a Goat Global founder said.

Goat Global South Los Angeles and Eureka are now open. Goat Global West Los Angeles, Central Los Angeles, and a consumption lounge in West Hollywood will all open this year. The Desert Hot Springs lounge and spa location will open next year.
